During an interview with Mandy Teefey conducted by the Gossip Cop on the 13th of January, Mandy indicated she's "not happy" her daughter is once again dating the Purpose singer, Justin Bieber.
In a report from the publication, Selena's former manager said she hasn't spoken with Bieber in years, but Selena is an adult who can choose to date whomever she wants.
Just because she doesn't approve of the man, it doesn't mean her like, or dislike of a person should determine her daughter's choice, after all, Selena is 25-years-old now.
Celebrity Insider reported last month that Teefey wasn't ready to bring back Justin into their home including for Thanksgiving dinner. Gomez allegedly chose not to bring in the "Sorry" crooner because of Teefey's disapproval of him.
Additionally, Teefey opened up to Gossip Cop about her daughter's surgery over the summer months. Fans will remember when Selena received a kidney transplant and reports at the time indicated that Justin was there for her.
Selena had to undergo surgery because she had Lupus, and thankfully her friend, Francia Raisa, donated a kidney to her.
When speaking about the condition, Teefey explained that a young person often feels they're "invincible" and Selena had to learn the "hard way" that she can't be a typical 20-year-old due to her condition.
Gomez's former manager said they were incredibly blessed to have Francia donate an organ. Furthermore, Teefey claimed the way the media portrays her relationship with Selena as potentially controlling, is merely inaccurate and not the truth.

She stated, "I do not control her the way it has been portrayed." Selena and Justin dated in the past but eventually broke up in what was described as a social media fiasco. After their relationship, Gomez dated The Weeknd briefly before breaking up last year.
